About Us

We would like to welcome you to Kelowna Family Dental – a dental clinic for the whole family.  Our dentists, Dr. Robyn Moreau & Dr. Tom Martin have a passion for helping you achieve and maintain a healthy mouth.  Our team loves helping patients of all ages reach their best oral health possible. Whether it’s your child’s first visit or you have a toothache, we are here to help. If you are looking for a dentist in Kelowna, give us a call: 250-762-2223.

Kelowna Family Dental traces back to the first dental practice in Kelowna! Dr. Shepherd opened Kelowna’s first dentist office in 1905. Dr. Geis bought it from him in 1950 and then Dr. Martin took over in 1986. Dr. Martin also bought a practice from Dr. Mac Leitch and joined the two together.  With Dr. Moreau buying the practice in 2016, she became the fourth dentist to own Kelowna’s original dental clinic.  In early 2020, Dr. Moreau added Dr. Sue Randhawa’s practice to Kelowna Family Dental as well when Dr. Randhawa retired.  We have many loyal patients who have been with our practice through the changing doctors over the years. The location and names may have changed over the years, but the commitment to quality dental care remains the same!

Our Doctors

Dr. Robyn Moreau

Dr. Robyn Moreau, General Dentist

Dr. Robyn Moreau has practiced in Castlegar, Vernon and Kelowna since graduating from UBC Dentistry in 2010. Prior to that, she received a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology and a minor in Arts from UBC as well.  She has lived in many places over the years – Haida Gwaii, Northern BC, Fruitvale, Vancouver & Australia to name a few – but is happy to call Kelowna her forever home now.

In between her degrees, she volunteered in Australia at a boarding school for Aboriginal students. While in dental school, she was lucky enough to be able to volunteer in both Uganda and Cambodia providing much needed dental care to local children as well as on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Robyn has enjoyed getting to know the Okanagan and looks forward to many more years here with her family. She loves travelling, photography, exploring the outdoors, baking and spending time with her family and her dog. She enjoys helping people achieve healthy mouths and beautiful smiles.

Robyn also loves to learn and can often be found spending her spare time in continuing education courses learning more about teeth as well as learning about her other interests.  She taught herself how to crochet a couple years ago and is still expanding on those skills and currently is learning more about editing photos.

Dr. Tom Martin

Dr. Tom Martin, General Dentist

Dr. Tom Martin has practiced in Kelowna since graduating from UBC Dentistry in 1987. Prior to that, he graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Born in Vancouver, he grew up in the Interior, returning to the Coast for his education. Upon graduation, Tom came to Kelowna to practice and enjoy the fabulous Okanagan lifestyle, on or in the water during the summer, and at Big White during the winter.

Once in Kelowna, Tom ran UBC Dentistry’s Continuing Education Program for the Interior of BC for a decade. He was also an examiner on the National Dental Examination Board and the BC Director of the Board. Tom has been awarded Fellowships in the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He has enjoyed practicing dentistry in Kelowna and really believes that good oral health is a necessary asset to a healthy and happy lifestyle.
